TAKING STOCK: ONE

_MG_1398

Heeeeeyyyy there ๐Ÿ™‚

I must say; I have been in deep thoughts lately about how to revamp my blog and keep it engaging, how to live a happy life, how to say no when I need to (I tend to be timid about this sometimes), and about life generally. For a while I have been thinking of doing the Taking Stock Series not only to help me re-evaluate some decisions I make monthly, but also to let you guys in on what goes on in my life other than natural hair chronicles. I hope we get to engage through this series and learn a tad from each other. It will be running on the blog every first week of the month. So ladies and gentlemen (drum rolls), here goes Taking Stock One by Margie Muga ๐Ÿ˜‰

THE METALLIC AFRO PICK FOR 4C/B HAIR-MUST HAVE

Metallic Afro PiCk for 4c/b hair-Must Have: By Just Margie

Bonjour Mes Amis ๐Ÿ˜‰

I have recently rekindled my love for the two foreign languages I have learnt over the past 6 years; i.e. French and Chinese. So don’t be shocked when I throw in a few words in this post and subsequent posts ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope you are keeping warm and healthy; I have been down with a cold & tonsillitis but battling the same with medicine and warm healthy meals. So today I am going to tell you why you should invest in a metallic Afro pick comb if you have 4c/4b hair, especially if you love doing twist outs and bantu knots. This comb is a life saver ;-).. or maybe just a look-changer? Hihihi…anyway, this is a must have and I will tell you why….

HOW I PREPOO AND DETANGLE MY NATURAL HAIR

How i Prepoo and detangle my natural hair

After a two-week deserved break, am not only back with a new post, but also with a video ย on how I detangle and prepoo my natural hairย ๐Ÿ˜‰ I must say that ever since I started this blog, I have faced so many unique challenges which have unraveled great potential I didnโ€™t even know I had. blogging can be quite tough and when I started blogging about my hair, I knew that I would have to up my game and venture into the vlog-sphere because I would like to show you guys some of the things I do and not only talk about them. Starting out is not only nerve wrecking but also time consuming as I had to learn the art of video editing from scratch. (*screams).

HOW TO TAKE CARE YOUR HAIRLINE

Just Margie, how to take care of your hairline

The first time I appreciated the importance of my hairline was when I lost a significant part of it on the right side of my head ๐Ÿ˜› . I had done faux locs for the first time in my life (aboutย 6 years ago). They were the “in”thing and I just had to rock them. And so I sat for one hour as four people pulled my head in all directions as they tightly fixed the locs. Days later, I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t smile… and I cried… The pain… Whaaaat? I was in massive pain. Then the pain subsided and 6 weeks later, as I undid the locs, my hair fell off on the fore right side of my head. My hair line was destroyed. Yikes.
